🏉 WESTERN BULLDOGS v HAWTHORN

AAMI Community Series Review

The Western Bulldogs have wrapped up their AAMI Community Series campaign with a 44 point victory over Hawthorn, running out 117 to 73 in a solid hit out ahead of Opening Round.

After a competitive opening term, the game began to shift in the second quarter when the Dogs came out firing kicking the first 4 goals of the second quarter. From there, the Bulldogs were able to control the game, finishing strongly to put the result beyond doubt.

For Hawthorn, there were positive patches particularly through their pressure around the contest and willingness to take the game on through the corridor with their young midfield showing strong work rate and their half backs providing solid rebound. While they couldn’t sustain momentum once the Dogs got on top at stoppage, the Hawks showed enough competitiveness and transition speed to take encouraging signs into Opening Round.
